Thanks to Dee for unearthing this beautifully produced documentary short about Francisco Kaiut and the evolution of Kaiut Yoga. The location was a training event that took place in Toronto in 2017. So enchanting!
“Most of my life, I’ve had pain. In my childhood, I was shot in my hip.
One day I was driving. After driving for one or two hours, everything in that hip started to get locked up, and the pain started moving. I noticed that the car was harmful not only to me; the car was actually harmful to everyone. My hip being injured was allowing me to experience what everybody actually feels, but in a shorter period of time.
At that moment, I noticed that yoga poses are basically very complex leverage systems operating biomechanically. Every single pose matches a human necessity in one or many joints at the same time.”
